Bodywork &
Massage

  • Swedish

Generalized work containing rhythmic strokes such as gliding, percussion, kneading, vibration, tapping, and rolling. Aids to promote a sense of calm and relaxation in the body.

  • Deep Tissue/Trigger Point

Geared towards those who are seeking pain relief, whether chronic or acute, the work is specific based. Techniques involve the elbow and forearm, friction, and muscle stripping. One may feel soreness up to two days following treatment.

  • Myofascial Release

Generally performed with little or no lubricant, in order to manipulate and move one’s fascia in all directions (not limited to the direction of the muscle itself). This approach is used to help increase mobility of stagnant tissue and blood flow. Stretch reflexes may also improve.

  • Pre/Postnatal

Prenatal massage is performed on the side-lying down or with wedge pillows and other props for optimal support. Postpartum is within twelve weeks of giving birth and type of pregnancy is considered with pressure, strokes, and how the body is padded. Goals include: increased circulation, general body tone, and decreased fatigue.

  • Sports

Performed fully clothed or unclothed, based on pre-, inter or post-event. This will determine whether the goal is to energize and pump blood into the tissues or to lengthen, drain, and stretch the tissues, slowing the body down. Joint mobilization will be integrated despite the timing.

  • Reflexology

Stimulates pressure points on the hands, head, and feet. Traditional Chinese techniques and wooden Thai stick approaches are used. This can be used as a 30-minute add-on or an hour-long stand-alone session.

  • Table Thai

Assisted stretching with passive, yoga-like stretching movements. Rhythmic compressions, rocking, and joint mobilization are utilized in addition to stimulated acupressure points. May also be performed fully clothed or unclothed.

  • Cupping Therapy

A local suction is created on the skin to stimulate skin and muscles. Silicone cups are used for the full-body or partial (dependent on the client's needs). Cups are used in multiple sizes for different body parts. Stationary and moveable techniques are used, given the purpose and body part. Cupping promotes increased blood circulation, which may help relieve muscle tension, promote cell repair, and aid in regeneration.

  • Lymphatic Drainage

This is a form of manual lymph drainage for the skin and tissues. Strokes are used in the direction of lymph flow and in key areas where the lymph system drains and releases where necessary from excess fluid buildup. This technique may help relieve swelling or excess swelling, post-surgery. This technique may also be performed on the face, aiding with the same benefits.

Extra scrub will be provided for the shower, to ensure no areas are left out. High exfoliations are recommended at the end/start of a new season for optimal results. These are contraindicated with sunburn, due to the abrasion level.

Scrubs are available for in-person purchase.

Energy Work &
Meditation

Chakra Balancing

Another way to describe this is Spiritual Healing. From day to day stressors to large scale trauma, one’s chakras may become out of alignment or imbalanced. Greater homeostasis is reached by use of energy work, touch/massage, crystals, essential oils, and tuning forks.

Sessions range from 45-90 minutes and may be combined with massage and other enhancement services. Prices reflect length of massage sessions plus $10.

Singing Bowls/Sound Meditation

Crystal sound bowls create a strong vibration through the sound. The effects can be soothing, calming, meditative and more. Other natural instruments may be added.

This can be used as an enhancement to a service or as a separate service, whether it be used for an individual or large group.

  • Seaweed Body Wrap

A mineral-rich seaweed and algae mask, combined with juniper and lemon, aids in eliminating toxins and excess fluid retention. A heated scalp massage is also included with wild lime oil, and finished with hot towels, avoiding any residue. The wrap is completed with a complimenting blend of palmarosa, pink grapefruit, rosemary highland, cypress, and sweet almond oil, improving lymph flow, circulation, and muscle tone.

  • Infrared Clay Wrap

Begins with dry brushing the entire body to stimulate the lymphatic and circulatory system. Then, a bentonite clay mask is applied, including lavender and bergamot. In combination with infrared heat, the benefits include more detoxification, relaxation, muscle and joint relief, firmed skin, and more. Face massage will include the use of ice globes to balance the body in building heat. The treatment will conclude with a mixture of castor, apricot, and ginger oil.

  • Chocolate Truffle Wrap

Who knew something that smells this good could also energize, promote well-being, and deliver a boost of essential vitamins and minerals—magnesium, zinc, and vitamins A, B, and E? As the cacao formula melts into the body, a chocolate mousse hydration masque is applied to the face and sets in during neck and scalp massage. Once the skin is wiped fresh, a blend of cocoa butter, chocolate essential oil blend, hazelnut oil, and macadamia nut oil soaks into the pores. As a final treat, you receive a chocolate truffle to eat.
